Company Profile

A History of Success

Anchor Abrasives is a privately held company and was formed in 1971. Founder, Frank Shoemaker is credited for naming the company after the system for anchoring nut inserts into the nonusable portion of the disc. Our staff has been analyzing disc-grinding operations and formulating discs since the early 1950's. Today, we are leaders in state-of-the-art formulation and manufacturing of double discs, cylinders, centerless and roll wheels . Anchor Abrasives moved into a new manufacturing facility in 1998, which has been designed  with the latest technology to produce high quality custom abrasive products. Anchor grinding wheels are sold to many of the best known manufacturing names in the World. Anchor's products grind a variety of bearings, springs, ceramics, cutlery, hand tools, bars, tubing and automotive parts including connecting rods, valve plates, piston rings, and pump parts.

The Anchor Advantage

At Anchor Abrasives we specialize in the design and manufacture of resin, epoxy and oxychloride bonded nut-inserted discs and cylinders, recently adding resin bonded centerless and roll wheels. We are a highly skilled team that devotes maximum effort in the development, manufacture, and application of these very specialized products.
